Tasha Lard recently added author to her list of accomplishments! Her new book shares insights on building generational wealth, overcoming challenges, and empowering communities.
Tasha Lard is a passionate entrepreneur, community advocate, and nonprofit leader dedicated to uplifting others and fostering economic growth. She is the Founder and CEO of M.O.G.U.L Consulting—an organization focused on motivating individuals to achieve personal and professional success—and the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Black Professionals of Iowa, supporting Black professionals through networking, mentorship, and career development.
In 2020, Tasha opened JD Beauty Supply in Iowa City, Iowa, with the mission of providing beauty products locally and building generational wealth for her family. Her store has become a community hub, hosting events like A Little Bit of Hope neighborhood pizza parties and youth programs during the pandemic. She also co-manages the South District Diversity Market, showcasing local entrepreneurs, and serves as Past President of the South District Self-Supported Improvement District (SSMID), working to create a thriving and inclusive business district.
With a background in social work and human services, Tasha holds degrees from Upper Iowa University, Governors State University, and College of DuPage. Her commitment to empowering youth is evident in her role on the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Johnson County Board of Directors. Recognized with awards like the Sizzle, Bravo, and Ovation awards, Tasha continues to inspire others through her leadership, dedication, and passion for community building.
