Faith Academy

Founded in 2013 as an initiative of Parkview Church, Faith Academy was established through the vision of former Parkview Pastor Doug Fern to make a lasting impact on children and families in southeast Iowa City. Inspired by a visit to Hope Academy in Minneapolis, Doug and a dedicated team stepped out in faith to launch the school with just two grades, 12 students, and a small team of staff. Today, Faith Academy has grown to eight grades (soon to be nine in 2025) and serves 118 scholars.

Faith Academy exists as a unique opportunity to see the local church in action, relying on God’s guidance and community support to fulfill its mission.
